Neil Ellis Wines
This mural is a distilled drawing of the Stellenbosch landscape, traced as a single line across the interior wall. I wanted to reduce the surrounding mountains and vineyards to their essential form—an architectural gesture that holds the space. The line acts as a visual section through the site, moving through the rammed-earth facade and into the tasting room. It connects the building to its context, both physically and conceptually. As visitors move through the space, the line guides them, echoing the terrain outside. It gives scale to the interior, grounding it in place. Through this drawing, I aimed to express the essence of Neil Ellis Wines: rooted in landscape, clear in identity.
